I’ve been a member of the TBU Student Union since my first year at the university. Participation on organizing multiple cultural events taught me a lot about project management and planning. Finally I was creating microsites for many organized events. I chose to create website for Student Union itself as a theme of Bachelor thesis. 

My aim was to picture Student Union as a creative, successful and a little crazy non-profit that does great stuff for students of Tomas Bata University. I would divide the website contents in two parts. The first presents organization values and vision, long-term projects, history and current leadership. The second part consists of the archive of organized events. I wanted the event visuals to pop out both while browsing events archive and viewing event detail. The visitor can engage with visuals of many events which were attended by thousands of students. 

While visiting the event detail page, the visitor should feel like browsing a microsite dedicated to the event only, not like browsing the Student Union website. The main navigation is there but has low visual priority. The whole detail layout can be customized. The content editor can create pretty much any layout and only creativity is the limit. My aim was to make propagation of the events even easier so the amazing events of the Student Union can be opened to even more TBU students.
